There will be 20 in-state drawings, running from April 26 to July 5. One Mississippi winner will be drawn at random each time and will receive $2,500.
Each winner will then join a national pool alongside winners from similar drawings in other states. A total of 16 people will then progress to the next stage of the promotion, with a maximum of one semi-finalist per state.
These 16 semi-finalists will then be pitted against each other in a series of head-to-head draws later in the year, coinciding with the elimination rounds of the NASCAR Playoffs.
Four participants will make it through to the grand final and will all be invited to the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Weekend at Phoenix Raceway in November. This will involve a VIP stay, including hospitality club passes, pace car rides and much more.
Each finalist will be guaranteed at least $10,000, and one will win the top prize of $1 million. The winner will be announced during a live broadcast from Phoenix on November 5.
Powerball became the ‘official lottery game of NASCAR’ earlier this year, as they ‘both have the extraordinary ability to create memorable moments that bring everyone together, to dream and cheer for something big’, according to Powerball Product Group Chair Drew Svitko.
You don’t need to buy a Powerball ticket to have a chance of winning one of the 20 prizes in Mississippi. The promotion is open to all Mississippi Lottery Insiders who submit an entry.
Powerball draws continue every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night, and you can see the latest winning numbers as soon as they are available.
