Mississippi's First $20 Scratch-Off Arrives March 2

Mississippi's First $20 Scratch-Off Arrives March 2

The Mississippi Lottery Corporation (MLC) will introduce its very first $20 scratch-off game, $100 Million Extravaganza, on March 2, featuring five $500,000 jackpots. Tickets will drop at the 1,800 official statewide retailers next week.

The game offers the biggest top prize of any MS instant scratch-off. "Our players are really looking forward to this $20 game," said MLC President Tom Shaheen. "It is filled with more than $100 million in cash prizes of all different levels. In addition, this game offers lower odds and more ways to win."

Other exciting cash payouts to be won include:

  • Five $50,000 second prizes
  • 20 $25,000 third prizes
  • Hundreds of prizes from $1,000 to $50,000
  • Thousands of prizes from $50 to $500

$100 Million Extravaganza has attractive odds of 1 in 3.4 to win any prize at the beginning of the game (odds change as prizes are won). And that's not all ... players can win up to 30 times per ticket.

If any of your numbers match any of the winning numbers, you'll take home the prize shown for that number. If you uncover a money symbol, you'll score the payout shown. Reveal a coin symbol and collect double the prize shown. If you're lucky enough to get a 10X symbol, the prize shown is multiplied by 10. Last but not least, a $200 symbol means - you guessed it - a $200 payday!

MS Lottery Announces January Transfer to State

Magnolia State players, who previously had to travel to neighboring states to buy tickets, have embraced the MS Lottery since it launched in November 2019, leading it to outpace revenue projections.

"As we continue to build and grow the MLC, we appreciate player and retailer feedback," Shaheen said. "Their feedback helps us introduce successful games and ultimately raise more money for road and bridge repairs as well as education."

In January, the Lottery transferred $23.6 million to the state of Mississippi in net proceeds. The MLC has contributed $75.1 million since the start of the 2021 budget year, which runs from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.

"In January, we saw astonishing growth in Powerball and Mega Millions sales as a result of the jackpots growing to unprecedented amounts," Shaheen noted. "Additionally, increasing sales in Cash 3 has fueled growth, and instant scratch-off games continue to be popular."

Under Mississippi law, the first $80 million in proceeds every fiscal year is earmarked for road and bridge repairs in the state, with additional funds dedicated to education.

"With five months remaining in fiscal year 2021, we are on track to raise enough revenue for distribution to both groups," Shaheen said.

First 2nd Chance Drawing

The MS Lottery is also holding its first 2nd Chance drawing on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. 2nd Chance draws give players the chance to win cash prizes by submitting eligible non-winning instant scratch-off game tickets. The first draw is for the Sleigh Bill$ holiday game. Players can enter non-winning Sleigh Bill$ tickets until Thursday, May 27, 2021 to qualify for the first drawing.
