The top prize starts at $50,000 and grows every time it is not won. Someone matched all the numbers on April 12th to land $141,000, but since then more than 50 draws have passed without a winner.
A new record was created when it overtook the $905,168 that was paid out to a Clay County man in February 2023, and it moved into seven figures a couple of days later.
The groundbreaking million-dollar jackpot coincides with the game celebrating its 1,000th draw. The escalating jackpot reflects the enthusiasm of our players and the game's increasing appeal."
Hewitt added: “This is an exciting moment not just for our players, but for the Mississippi Lottery as a whole. Hitting the million-dollar threshold is a first for Match 5, and it shows just how much enthusiasm players have for this game.”
