Win $1 Million A Year For Life
Millionaire for Life is a product of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). It has been developed to appeal to those players who like the idea of regular annuity payments - though you can opt for a lump sum cash payment if you prefer - rather than a large one-off jackpot. The top prize is worth $1 million a year for the rest of a winner’s lifetime!
It will replace Cash4Life and Lucky for Life in other U.S. states. For Mississippi, which did not offer either of those two lotteries, it will be the first game of its kind. It will be played in 31 jurisdictions in total, so if you find yourself outside the Magnolia State you may still be able to pick up a ticket.
As well as the $1-million-a-year-for-life jackpot, the second prize is also an annuity. It will keep rewarding you with $100,000 a year for your entire lifetime. If you miss out on either of the top two prizes, there are still seven other ways to win fixed payouts ranging from $8 to $7,500.
To play, you have to pick five main numbers from 1 to 58 and a Millionaire Ball between 1 and 5. Draws take place daily at 10:15 PM CT and tickets cost $5.
Great Odds and Prizes
The odds of winning are far more favorable than other multi-state games such as Powerball and Mega Millions. Your chances of landing the jackpot are 1 in 22.9 million, while the overall odds of getting a prize are 1 in 8.46.
Mississippi Lottery officials are excited about the prospect of seeing lots of winners. MS Lottery President Jeff Hewitt said: “Millionaire for Life gives players the chance to dream big every day. Winning $1 million a year, year after year, would be life-changing, and this game has the potential to make that a reality.”
With its eye-catching prizes and favorable odds of winning, Millionaire for Life could create some of Mississippi’s biggest lottery winners. The state has yet to produce a Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot winner, but someone from Mississippi did bank $10 million on Powerball Double Play in February 2025.
Tickets go on sale from Sunday, February 22. Make sure to take part and then check the winning numbers as soon as they are available.
