Mississippi Lottery Numbers
Mississippi is soon to have its own state lotto game after legislature was passed in August 2018 allowing a lotto to take place. The news also paves the way for multi-state games like Powerball and MegaMillions to come to Mississippi along with daily draw games like Pick 3 and Pick 4.
The winning lottery numbers will be published here soon after the draws have taken place, detailing the balls drawn, the payouts and the number of winners. Until the details of the game are announced, you can find the relevant information for the Mississippi state Lotto along with updates on playing Powerball and MegaMillions from the Magnolia State right here.
The announcement brings Mississippi in line with neighbouring states that allow both a state lottery and multi-state games, raising millions of dollars for projects and charities every year.
The Mississippi lotto will be the first of its kind in the state and will offer players the chance to win huge sums of money whilst also providing valuable funds for state projects and charities. The lotteries in neighbouring states differ slightly, with some running daily and some having draws twice a week, but all of them offer the jackpot for matching all the balls in the draw and multiple other prize tiers for matching fewer numbers.
As the State lotto has only just been approved, details of the prizes, odds or format of the game are yet to be decided. Any updates will be published on our dedicated Lotto page.

You Can Buy Mississippi Lottery Tickets From November 25th
The first lottery tickets will go on sale in Mississippi from November 25th 2019, nearly a full week earlier than the original December 1st launch date. You will be able to buy scratch-offs when the lottery launches and draw games will follow in early 2020.
Supporters of a lottery in Mississippi have always argued that the state is missing out on a huge amount of funding for projects that other states enjoy thanks to their own lotteries. It wasn’t until August 2018 that Governor Phil Bryant called a session to vote on a lottery bill and even this was out-voted in the first instance. A special session 24 hours later forced a re-vote which eventually passed and paved the way for a state Lotto to come to Mississippi. Check out the developments page to keep up with how the formation of the state Lotto game is progressing.
MegaMillions is a multi-state lottery that holds draws every Tuesday and Friday night, regularly offering jackpots over $100 million. Currently it can be played in most of the neighbouring states to Mississippi, but the passing of a new lottery bill could see the popular game come to Mississippi along with the state Lotto. Check out the MS MegaMillions page for more details on the game and what you can expect should it come to the Magnolia state.
Powerball is the biggest lottery in both the USA and the world, setting the record for the biggest jackpot ever offered at $1.6 billion in January 2016. Draws take place twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays but players in Mississippi cannot currently buy tickets. When the state Lotto game comes to Mississippi, it’s likely that Powerball will follow, so check out the MS Powerball page for details on what to expect when the multi-state game finally arrives in Mississippi.
